About the Artist
A Brief History
Inspired, encouraged, and drawn to improvisation at the age of 6, Zachary took to composition like a bird would take to the skies.
Blessed with two wonderful parents and the precious gift of their encouragement, the Canadian composer began penning his original works during his years of classical training.
By age 15, he was working his way toward the release of his first official solo piano album. Three years later, the debut album was finally released. Met with praise from friends, family, and the solo piano community alike, his first album, Before the Rain, would reach #37 on the New Age charts.
He went on to release his second album, Dawn Light, a year later, which garnered more attention as well as the "Album of the Year" award from Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio.
Inspiration and Influences
Nothing inspires Zachary's songs more profoundly than the love of his Creator. Taking hints from creation itself, he aims to capture the essence and vibrancy of the seemingly transcendent, yet evident qualities that point each soul back to its Creator.
Undoubtedly drawing from foundational principles laid by Beethoven, Hayden, Chopin, and Mozart, Zachary reaches back to his childhood to develop a keen sense of melody, harmony, and song structure, reaching. He also draws inspiration from modern-day pianists like Ludovico Einaudi.
Moving forward
As Zachary creates original piano works for a worldwide audience, his style continues to expand and develop.
2024 signals the dawn of a new era for Zachary. Look forward to new many releases in 2024 and beyond.
